A substantial villa renovation in two parts saw this historic home transformed for luxurious contemporary living in keeping with its blue-chip location.

The first stage saw the addition of a new garage and a swimming pool, and a reconfiguration of interior spaces – moving the kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

In the second stage, a new master bedroom and en suite bathroom were added, along with a magnificent new lounge. Here, large bay windows with double-hung sash windows (double-glazed for comfort), intricate corbels to the exterior and other replica features evoke the era in which the house was built. The result is a light and airy open-plan living space that blends seamlessly with the original structure.
